How to Make Money Blogging

I have some massive goals. Goals that seem unachievable, but I truly believe in myself & the universe to make them come to life. I launched my digital marketing agency one year ago with the hope that one day I could walk away from my day job & be my own boss, but here is what happened…

I did become my own boss & then all of my clients also became my boss. Next thing you know, I have 10 bosses instead of just one. I was spending hours and hours helping other people stay present on social media, writing blog content, launching their new programs, and selling their services. That left zero time for me to worry about my own. I missed creating, blogging, and photographing.

I wasn’t working my ass off to keep working at a job that makes me miserable. I’ve always, always wanted to be a blogger. To generate income from styling, writing & photographing. I told myself for years there wasn’t money in that. That I couldn’t replace my corporate income with a blog. I had beaten this thought into my head. That was the very reason I started offering marketing services & those services made money because I believe they would. Well, for 2019, I’m done with that lie. I’m choosing to shift my mindset to one of abundance.

Blogging can & will surpass my corporate income this year, in fact, it will surpass it.

One year from now, I will look back at this post and say, “I told you so.” To myself… 

But here is the thing, I’ve had blogs on and off for the last 4 years & I’ve never made much money from any of them. I started looking on Pinterest for ways to generate blogging income through affiliate marketing, sponsorships, etc.

I stumbled across income reports. Women making $100,000+

Not a year… A MONTH. This gave me confidence. If they can do it, I can, too. AND SO CAN YOU. I’m doing tons of research on affiliate marketing and reoccurring revenue generated through blogging. I also took the course Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing and I learned SO much!

The course creator’s last name is Schroeder (my future last name), so that scored some brownie points right off the bat. Michelle earns over $50,000 a month through affiliate marketing, and she shares all of her best tips in this course.

The course has provided a good mix of technical and “soft skill” advice, and Michelle gives tons of great examples for working affiliate links into your organic content.

The course also came with tons of bonus material, including a Pinterest webinar that I really enjoyed. I spent a few hours cleaning up my Pinterest profile and following recommendations from this piece of bonus material and doubled my profile visitors in just a few days! Seriously crazy.
