When you are an #entrepreneur every day of the week just blurs together 😅 I'm rolling into the weekend with a big fat to-do list. Oh, & tonight is the start of the #crossfitopen which I'm not really looking forward to lol. Do you guys want me to take you along in stories so you can see the pain I endure each day? Yes? No? Okay cool. Let me know.

Yesterday, our dining room was shared by @betterhomesandgardens I only found out by seeing someone repost their post. I was excited, so I quickly hopped over to their page to see the photo on their feed. ⁣

I always try to respond to every comment with gratitude and thanks because I truly am so grateful for all of you. I started going through the comments on their feed and they were BRUTAL. ⁣

I guess I have been pretty lucky finding "my people" on this little slice of the Internet because I have never had people say down right mean things about my home. I had to stop reading the comments. ⁣

I COMPLETELY understand if my funky style isn't your favorite or if you wouldn't pick all black everything (because I guess it makes your house look like a morgue) or if you don't like my dining room chairs (because apparently they are uncomfortable and belong outside), but I don't see how criticizing other people's style helps the world in any way. ⁣

Thank you @swankonline for trolling my haters. I love you lol. And didn't these people have parents that taught them the golden rule? If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!

I usually hate Tuesdays, but I'm in a good mood for some reason! Not going to ask questions 😅 I had a great life coaching session with @higherlevelliving over lunch & now I'm making headway on my to-do list. I always feel better when I'm productive! ⁣

Woke up with Andrew at 6AM this morning. Who dis? He headed into work & I sat right here working on the blog. If you haven't visited in awhile, you should! Andrew & I have talked about getting another big dog so Porter could have a buddy 😍
Maybe this will give me serious puppy fever & I'll randomly bring home a friend for Porter. I mean, that is kind of how we ended up with him lol. He was just so cute and floppy and fluffy. Andrew had no idea there would be a puppy in our house that day when he got home from work 😅 #crazydoglady

Like I mentioned earlier this week, I’ve never really had a skincare routine, and in all honesty, I always thought some women were over the top for applying cleansers, moisturizers, oils, treatments, masks, etc. #aveenopartner⠀

Turns out, I was just making an excuse for not taking care of my skin. I’m trying to slow life down a little this year and spend time each day practicing self care. Long hot soaks in the tub, actually shaving my legs, moisturizing, flossing, putting on makeup, doing my hair, and getting dressed. ⠀

This list might look completely different for you and there is nothing wrong with that! I spent a lot of last year pointing fingers at other women who indulge in self care because I WASN’T. I think I was just wishing I made more time to take good care of myself.⠀

Thanks to @aveenous & the self love sale happening at @meijerstores, I’m now stocked up on skin care products that are helping me not only look good, but feel good, too. I’ve been trying my Aveeno facial care routine with a cleanser and then a moisturizer mixed with their maxinfusion drops. I’ve been on this routine for about three weeks now and my skin is loving it. To all the women out there doing what they need to do for self care, I applaud you! And to the women who feel like I used to about beauty care, I urge you to give it a try. You just might enjoy it! ⠀
