Hi, I’m Miranda, and I’m addicted to empowering, motivational, self-help books written for women. I’ve read (or should I say, listened to) so many books that have changes the trajectory of my life.
These books have picked me up when I’m down and encouraged me when I wanted to give up on my entrepreneurial dreams. No matter what you need right at this moment, one of these books might just change your life, too!
#1. Everything is Figureoutable
This book is one of my favorites. Marie Forleo is amazing in every single way. I loved hearing her journey and story to success as an entrepreneur. With this book, she taught me that the journey is full of twists and turns and every choice along the way, big or small, can make profound impact. This book gave me hope, clarity and motivation. Each section ends with incredible journal prompts that put me in a completely new head space.
#2. Daring Greatly
Berne Brown is a highly regarded writer and this is one of my favorite books she has written. It completely reframed my thoughts on vulnerability and human connection. The things I learned in this book pertain to every aspect of my life from my marriage to my business. This book is a must read.
#3. Uninvited
If you are going through a rough patch or feeling down, this book is for you. I read Uninvited right after my first wedding was called off and it completely turned my heart around. Lysa Keurst helps you turn away from worldly hurt and towards God in times of happiness and in times of need. This book was truly a life changing read. Such an empowering book!
#4. You are a Badass at Making Money
Need a little kick in the butt when it comes to making money? This book is for you! Jen Sincero, the author, also has the best sense of humor (IMO). I’ve listened to this book 3 or 4 times and every single time, I feel like I can conquer all my money problems and become the bad ass entrepreneur I was meant to be. Sincero helps you look at your relationship with money in a whole new way.
#5. Girl Stop Apologizing
We all know and love Rachel Hollis, author of Girl Wash Your Face and Girl Stop Apologizing. This book tops Girl Wash Your Face for me. I listened to it on a long flight and tears welled up in my eyes as I looked out over the wing. Everything you want and need is out there, and this book will help you realize that.
#6. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck
Also listened to this book on a plane. I loved it. The funny thing about this book is that it’s actually about GIVING a fuck. Give a fuck about what means the most to you and screw everything else that doesn’t! This book is 100% in line with my thoughts and ideas around the concept of balance in life. If you are ready to boss up and prioritize your life, read this book!
#7. You are the Girl for the Job
This book helped me replace doubt and imposter syndrome with Jesus. I love how the author, Grace Connelly, helps you see that we are all imperfect people trying to make the most of life. We can replace fear and anxiety with faith and trust in the plan that is laid before us. If you often question whether you have “the right” to be doing whatever it is your are doing or whatever dream you are chasing, read this!
#8. Present Over Perfect
My fellow perfectionists, this one is for you! I’ve struggled with perfectionist tendencies my entire life and Shauna Niequist helped me let go of that with this book. I highly encourage you to also purchase the journal prompts/activities that go along with the book. I read this and filled out the journal in Costa Rica, and I came back a new person!
#9. It’s Not Supposed to be This Way
Have you ever planned out your life and then watched that plan completely blow up in your face? If you answered yes, this book is for you. When your world gets flipped upside down, it can be hard to pick yourself back up and keep living. I know this because I have been there. Lysa TerKeurst is so real and raw and honest in this book as she talks about recovery from her divorce.
#10. Girl Wash Your Face
Everyone needs to read the Rachel Hollis hit, Girl Wash Your Face. It’s uplifting, motivational, and inspiring in the tough love kind of way. I love her confidence and humor throughout this book. It inspired me to not give up and keep pushing. It also taught me that hard work, grit and consistency pays off.
#11. Own Your Everyday
I have been a Jordan Lee Dooley fan for a very long time, so when her book came out, I was giddy and pre-ordered it. She has always inspired me to find Jesus in the real, raw moments of every day life. Her honestly and transparency is unrivaled and her book is perfect for the girl chasing contentment in life. It helped me find gratitude and appreciation for the little every day moments in life, and I hope it does for you, too!
#12. You are a Badass
I bought this paperback book in an airport. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It turned out to be the best self-help book full of tough love. Jen Sincero taught me that I have power over my life and choices. She also taught me to trust the universe and believe that everything I dream of is out there, waiting for me to let it happen. If you need a confidence booster and a little tough love, grab this book and embrace Jen’s dry humor!

Anyone Read the book of Ramesh Nathan? I am thinking about to buy at https://www.illuminism.us/
My friends told me that he is one of the best authors who writes on the journey of life and philosophy of life.
I have not read that one!
