The word balance should be placed next to the word perfection because neither of them exist. Yet, we constantly chase them. There is a lot of talk about letting go of perfectionism, but then, there are people standing on the roof tops shouting about having balance.
We live in a world where we are constantly connected with the power of a computer in our purse or pocket. There is no clean, clear divide between work and personal life for so many of us. I got to the point where one email would put me in a downward spiral for hours, sometimes even a full day or two. The anxiety was so intense that it would make me physically sick, ruining special events, my normal favorite activities and time spent with people I love.

So many of you asked for this post, so I hope it’s helpful as you budget for a home renovation project. Most of the updates in our homes have been low budget, DIY projects that we can accomplish without hiring help, but we are planning a major kitchen remodel.
