On February 28th, 2019, I married the love of my life at our local courthouse. The stress and pressure of planning our destination wedding has been immense, but this day was so casual, intimate and sweet. From start to finish the day was absolutely perfect and full of so much love.

We woke up together that morning, cuddled and drank coffee. I jumped in the shower and Andrew headed to pick up the marriage license and hit the gym. I met my mom at the Dockside Salon for hair and makeup while our close family and friends drove from hours away.

I didn’t see Andrew until putting on my dress and coming down the stairs for our first look. He handed me the most heartfelt letter I have ever received. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I was flooded with emotions. The day had finally come. I was going to be a wife.

All of the beautiful photos below were captured by the talented Alyssa Denhartigh. If you are looking for a photographer in West Michigan, I highly recommend her! She was amazing to work with.

Three months of enjoying my new husband and then we get to “get married” all over again! We are so excited to celebrate our marriage with close family and friends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

All of us are staying at a beautiful resort and Andrew and I are getting married at the one and only Flora Farms.

I have so many final details to set in place before our destination wedding like picking songs, finalizing the vendors, finding the right shoes, programs and place cards, and the list goes on!

I can’t thank Alyssa Denhartigh enough for capturing our day perfectly. She arrived early, got acquainted with our creaky Victorian and started shooting.

She got shots of every single detail and everything felt so easy and natural. When we got our photos back, there were beautiful photos I didn’t even remember her taking! We will cherish these photos for years to come!
