Ekkk! I finally got my butt around to making a mood board for our wedding. This post was originally drafted two months ago when we first got engaged, but alas, I finally finished it. Long before the proposal, Andrew and I had debated between eloping and a small destination wedding. We knew we wanted one or the other, and after the proposal we landed on a small destination wedding.
I am a tropical girl at heart. I live for the sun, the ocean and palm trees. Thankfully, Andrew was all about a warm, sunny wedding destination. In fact, he ruled out some of the less tropical options I presented. With that in mind, I instantly knew the perfect venue. As soon as Andrew proposed, I sent Flora Farms an email praying they had spring dates available, and they did! I was over the moon and booked it right away.
I really want the greenery based flowers to make a statement whether it is the alter, the bar, or my bouquet. And if you have been following me for awhile, you know I have an obsession with the color black (don’t try to tell me it’s not a color). I want to incorporate just enough into our wedding that it feels present.
Andrew is going to be wearing a black tux, and I drool over the black candlesticks in the vintage brass candlestick holders. I’m dreaming up an elegant boho lounge with a modern sofa & burgundy velvet accent chairs. I’m finalizing all the details for flowers and rentals as we speak!
I ordered our save the dates, bachelor party and wedding invites off of Minted and the quality & service was unbeatable! Everything turned out so beautifully. I took full advantage of the address printing (it was free) and that saved us so much time, plus the script was stunning (much better than my handwriting). I can’t wait for the photographer to get some flat lays of our invitation suite!
