Surprise! We are having a baby! Little Schroeder is due June 2021, and we couldn’t be more excited for baby’s arrival. We have no idea if we are having a boy or girl yet, but the blood work is with the lab!
I struggled for years wondering if I wanted to have kids or not, but many, many deep conversations later, Andrew and I decided we wanted to try! We had no idea if conceiving would be difficult or incredibly easy.
Thankfully, our road to pregnancy was smooth and for that, I will forever be grateful. I had my IUD removed in August and my NP recommend having one cycle before trying to conceive.
From the day my IUD came out, I began tracking my cycle by sleeping in the Ava bracelet. This device is seriously incredible! I highly recommend it for anyone trying to understand their cycle.
Ava completely takes the question and hassle out of trying to get pregnant. There are six days a cycle when it’s possible to conceive, and Ava is clinically tested to recognize five of them. No peeing on strips! All you have to do is wear the bracelet while you sleep.
I will say it again and again, we are so lucky. I know there are so many couples who struggle for years to conceive, so we are truly counting our blessings.
After my first cycle, the Ava gave us a clear window of our five best days to conceive, and it worked! We got pregnant the very first month, and I think we are still in shock weeks later that it all happened so fast!
