I have to be honest, I am not a fan of DIY, but this DIY welcome sign for our front porch was a quick and easy project that turned out so well. I had most of the items needed around the house, but we purchased pre-cut wood and stencils for this project!

With some additional wall cabinets, paint and peel and stick tiles, this space looks like a completely different room. It’s bright and fresh and all of sudden laundry doesn’t seem so bad anymore! HA kidding. But more importantly, this room is now super functional and full of concealed storage.

It’s week two of the One Room Challenge, and we are moving right along on our dark and moody master bedroom transformation. We have a big, blank wall behind our bed and I knew it needed a little extra something. I landed on the idea of DIY board and batten.

Dried oranges are such a beautiful, natural, affordable, and sustainable way to decorate for the holidays!

I’m finally ready to share some photos of our budget kitchen updates. Initially, I wanted to gut this thing, but I knew that was not financially smart for us. That said, I couldn’t live with our disgusting, outdated kitchen. A little, jk a lot, of paint, and some elbow grease have gone a long way on this kitchen. It might not be my dream kitchen, but it feels so much fresher than it did with what we were able to do on a $500 budget!
