It’s week two of the One Room Challenge, and we are moving right along on our dark and moody master bedroom transformation. We have a big, blank wall behind our bed and I knew it needed a little extra something. I landed on the idea of DIY board and batten.

I knew I wanted to paint a room black in our new house, but I wasn’t sure which one. I landed on our bedroom and I’m so excited to watch this design come to life (I hope you are, too)!

Buying a mattress online has become super common, but it can also be a little tricky. We have bought four different mattresses online & all of them have been great, but our new Awara mattress takes the cake!

I’m head over heels for the black metal bed frame we ordered from Wayfair. Every time I post our bedroom on Instagram, I get tons of questions about it! It goes out of stock all of the time, so I wanted to share my other favorites with you!
