Dad: the guy who does it all, always has your back, and grills like a boss. Also… the hardest guy to buy a present for.
Why is that dads are so hard to buy for? Is it because they never ask for anything? Or because they already seem to have a garage full of tools and a cupboard full of grill supplies? Honestly, so many “dad gifts” are just plain boring.

Father’s Day is always bittersweet for me. I grew up with an AMAZING papa who I consider my dad. He’s actually my step dad and there are still people that have been in my life for years that have no idea he isn’t my biological father. I’m so lucky my mom found him. He’s been a steady presence in my life since I was two years old, and I am forever thankful for him!

This year, we get the gift of making him a first time grandparent, and he couldn’t be more excited! I’m so ready to watch my family grow and change as we welcome our baby girl this summer. I can’t believe my husband, Andrew, is going to be a dad, too! There is a very good chance our little one is in our arms by Father’s Day 2021, and Andrew will get to celebrate his first Father’s Day as a girl dad. I can’t wait!
