We are so excited to introduce you to our new home: Dr. Terrell’s House (now Dr. Schroeder’s House) haha! I love to give our homes nicknames, and this house already has a special place in our hearts since it was originally occupied by a family doctor. Now it’s owned by one again! So “Doc’s House” became the perfect nickname.
Let’s start with a few nice, polished listing photos.
And now, I give you … the demo photos.
We love the character of the home and will be saving many original elements such as the large newel post on the staircase and the vintage bathrooms. However, other features will be updated. We’re saying goodbye to the wallpaper and tile floors. Hello, hardwoods!
Peep the cleaner bottles in the bathroom photos.

We have so many projects and plans for this home. It’s rich with historic details that I hope to save, restore, and honor while also making the home more functional for 2021 and beyond. Especially with a baby on the way!
This house is going to keep us busy. That is for sure! We are so excited to have you follow along on this new adventure.
Omg beautiful house, with so much character! Do you know when it was built? Can’t wait to see what you do with the place 🙂
Thank you! It was built in 1927, then turned into apartments and then fully renovated again in the 50s and 80s!
