Surprise! We are having a baby! Little Schroeder is due June 2021, and we couldn’t be more excited for baby’s arrival. We have no idea if we are having a boy or girl yet, but the blood work is with the lab!

I gave our bathroom a bright, boho refresh a few months ago, but I’ve added a few more small touches since, one of those being these matte black faucets from Pfister Faucets.

This year, I partnered with World Market to create a Halloween drink. Thankfully, we don’t have to ward off any ghosts. Instead, we’re welcoming the holiday spirit of fun and mischief with a Halloween-themed bar cart!

I have to be honest, I am not a fan of DIY, but this DIY welcome sign for our front porch was a quick and easy project that turned out so well. I had most of the items needed around the house, but we purchased pre-cut wood and stencils for this project!

With some additional wall cabinets, paint and peel and stick tiles, this space looks like a completely different room. It’s bright and fresh and all of sudden laundry doesn’t seem so bad anymore! HA kidding. But more importantly, this room is now super functional and full of concealed storage.

I love using sage green on walls because it’s so calming and manages to register as an earthy neutral while still possessing a little color. We used “Minted Sage” by Behr Marquee in eggshell.

When we bought our current house, the main bedroom bathroom design was basic. Like the rest of our house, the bathroom was painted neutral gray. I soon found myself itching to revitalize the space.

Craving community, I reached out to my dear friend Lauren Koster to collaborate on an intimate dinner for a wonderful group of women. Being late fall, we envisioned something moody and harvest-like and it couldn’t have turned out better!

A dining room with black walls? YES. This is probably my favorite room I have ever designed. The walls were rich with contrast, the wood warmed everything up and the Persian rug tied all of the old and new together.

Once upon a time, we lived in a creaky old Victorian with an earthy, sage green living room. This room went through so many different styles, colors and furniture arrangements while we lived at this house, but we sold it exactly like this, couch, sectional, and floor lamp included in the sale!

I can’t believe I’m writing a blog post on family planning! For as long as I can remember, I have wrestled with the idea of having children. I’ve never felt that urge or tug on my heart to become a mother until after we got married. And when all of our friends started having children, something changed for me.
