Fear of failure can stand in your way. It can freeze you. Stop you in your tracks. Prevent you from diving into a crazy dream OR it can make you stand up, like the bad ass woman you are, look at a big, hairy audacious goal straight in the eye, and get to work.
We all know that working out is good for your mind and your body, so why don’t we make it a priority? Research shows an amazing correlation between working out and success (whatever you may define as success).
I know some bloggers that are making over $5,000/month with affiliate marketing alone!
I love talking about the topic of time and resources. We have the same amount of time in a day as Beyonce and Warren Buffett. Let that sink in. We also have a lot of excuses as to why we can’t this and can’t that, and the number one excuse is likely, “I don’t have time.”
Guys! It’s not about having more time. It is about prioritizing things in our life to create the space and time. I work full-time, run two business and a blog, and I still find time to work out almost every single day and eat dinner with my husband. I literally want to print out a t-shirt with the word “priorities” written across the chest.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is essential for every blogger under the sun! After a quick consulting session on basic blog post SEO, I figured why not share a simple guide here on our very own blog? Enough with the fluff. Let’s get started.
I can’t tell you how many prospective clients come to me that are in the idea phase of starting their business. They think they need to talk to a marketing specialist, but there is so much to do “behind the scenes” before you are ready to market your business. If you are serious and ready to do the damn thing, you need to start with a strong foundation. Here is a quick rundown of everything you need to do to set your business up for success right out of the gate.
The last time I mentioned the magic of Pinterest on my Instagram account, so many of you were curious to learn more! Pinterest has been a game changer for my blog. I used to use the platform solely for personal use, like to casually look up a dinner recipe or get inspiration for an upcoming home décor project, but the minute I started to use it as a business tool, my blog views exploded. In December of 2018, I made the commitment to get serious about this blog.
We hear it all of the time, the term “side hustle.” But what if your side hustle is a full-time hustle sitting on top of the mountain of work pouring in from your 9-5? Great question! I’m posing a few ways to help you not only keep your head on straight, but also kick ass at BOTH of your full-time jobs because let’s be real… owning a business is never a side, it’s a damn steak.
As 2019 rolls around, many of us entrepreneurs are putting our planning hats on. Content marketing isn’t going anywhere in 2019. I’m living proof. About 30 minutes ago I Googled, found the solution I needed and bought a template. That company never would have made the sale if their webpage didn’t show up on the first page of Google. And how, you might ask, did their content show up on that page? Content marketing.
I wanted to write a post about monetizing your blog and/or your social media because it’s something I have REALLY been focusing on over the last month or so. For a long time, my blog just sat here. I would post a few interesting things here and there, but I wasn’t earning a dollar. Meanwhile, I was spending countless hours creating and sharing content for Instagram and only using Pinterest as a guilty pleasure vs. a business tool. Things have changed! So you might be wondering why all of a sudden I became so interested in trying to monetize my blog. Well, here is a little back story: I work your typical 8
Many of you know that I work with a life coach (& absolutely love it). Well, one week, I did an activity where I created my own personal “mantra.” This was something I wanted to constantly keep front of mind as I went throughout my day. My mantra is my truth. It’s packed with encouragement and motivation for when I feel like throwing in the towel. It summarizes my desires and need to push forward.
I can devour a good, motivational, entrepreneur or self-help book in one to two sittings. This year, I read (more like listened) to tons of them, and in 2019, I plan to do the same! I’ve been saving Instagram posts of book recommendations the last few months to create my reading list for the coming year. And, since I drive a lot, I’m always looking for audiobooks. My goal for 2019 is one book per month. I far surpassed that this year, but I want to be conscious of taking a break from the screen & actually picking up a book.
So many people dream of working from home. No more cubicle, fluorescent lighting, or rush hour commutes. That dream is a reality for over 1 in 5 Americans according to Forbes. When making this transition, many people neglect to realize that working from home day in and day out can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness. Sounds depressing, I know, but that’s why we are chatting about it!
