Alright folks, we are one week into the One Room Challenge and our painting is almost complete! If you missed the week one post, you can read it here. You can also see what this room looked like a week ago! We are going for a cozy, Parisian parlor with an industrial twist. We went into the week thinking we would do a pink accent wall, and we came out of the week with a completely pink parlor. I wanted this from the beginning, but it took a little convincing for the husband.
The last time I mentioned the magic of Pinterest on my Instagram account, so many of you were curious to learn more! Pinterest has been a game changer for my blog. I used to use the platform solely for personal use, like to casually look up a dinner recipe or get inspiration for an upcoming home décor project, but the minute I started to use it as a business tool, my blog views exploded. In December of 2018, I made the commitment to get serious about this blog.
I decided to sign up for the One Room Challenge (ORC) on a total whim! I was up late one night working and a friend texted me her ORC mood board and I felt inspired to join in on the fun as a guest participant. If you are unfamiliar with the One Room Challenge, here is the full scoop!
Persian rugs are an investment! I hear so many people say they don’t want to purchase a “nice” rug because they have kids or pets, but here is the thing, if you purchase a Persian rug, it will last for YEARS when taken care of regardless if you have kids or pets. I’ve bought so many cheap, machine made rugs that I had no way to clean, and they ended up going in the trash can. With a good professional cleaning, a handmade rug with pile will look brand new.
The modern, bridal hat trend is going strong! The bridal hat trend is going strong. I have always, always worn hats. I have a few favorites that are always in rotation, so when it came to our courthouse wedding, I knew a bridal hat was the perfect way to add a little personality to my simple, white wedding dress. Here is the hat I wore on my wedding day along with some other modern, bridal hat favorites.
I spent so many years of my life wishing I could be different than the way God made me. Wishing I could be more like her. The girl who was kind, gentle and quiet. Or the girl who was stunning, beautiful, and just the right amount of sexy. I felt so trapped into this idea that I had to be different to be a good person, which left me feeling like I wasn’t.
I’m sharing what I’ve learned about running Facebook ads in hopes that I can help you avoid wasting your precious advertising dollars. When we decided to start offering this as a paid service, I went a little cray cray learning everything I possibly could about how to run and manage ads on Facebook. We are talking everything from where to manage the ads, how to create a segmented audience, what kind of copy to use, to how to optimize your ads over time. I had no idea how complex (& amazing) Facebook advertising was.
We hear it all of the time, the term “side hustle.” But what if your side hustle is a full-time hustle sitting on top of the mountain of work pouring in from your 9-5? Great question! I’m posing a few ways to help you not only keep your head on straight, but also kick ass at BOTH of your full-time jobs because let’s be real… owning a business is never a side, it’s a damn steak.
If you have been following along with my vintage, campaign nightstand shenanigans on Instagram then you might know why I’m writing this post! Styling nightstands and shelves has never been my strong suite. I love placing and selecting furniture, but when it comes to the smaller details of the room, I’m out of my comfort zone. I had to look to Pinterest for some inspiration on how to style my nightstands.
As 2019 rolls around, many of us entrepreneurs are putting our planning hats on. Content marketing isn’t going anywhere in 2019. I’m living proof. About 30 minutes ago I Googled, found the solution I needed and bought a template. That company never would have made the sale if their webpage didn’t show up on the first page of Google. And how, you might ask, did their content show up on that page? Content marketing.
