This has been on my heart to share for a couple weeks as people kept asking us why we were getting married three months before our destination wedding. Our most common response was, “You have to get married in the United States before your destination wedding, and courthouse weddings only happen during the week. Andrew had a random Thursday off of his crazy schedule, so we picked that day.” That entire statement is true, but why three months before the “actual” wedding celebration? I wanted to write a post about monetizing your blog and/or your social media because it’s something I have REALLY been focusing on over the last month or so. For a long time, my blog just sat here. I would post a few interesting things here and there, but I wasn’t earning a dollar. Meanwhile, I was spending countless hours creating and sharing content for Instagram and only using Pinterest as a guilty pleasure vs. a business tool. Many of you know that I work with a life coach (& absolutely love it). Well, one week, I did an activity where I created my own personal “mantra.” This was something I wanted to constantly keep front of mind as I went throughout my day. My mantra is my truth. It’s packed with encouragement and motivation for when I feel like throwing in the towel. It summarizes my desires and need to push forward.

I have two different makeup routines. One is what I wear during the week when I’m working from home and the other is for when I actually go out into public! Today, I wanted to share my quick and easy 5 minute makeup routine that I’ve been doing each weekday morning. My skin is very dry, and I suffer from mild adult acne, so I’ve had to find solutions that moisturize and help prevent breakouts.

If I start thinking about summer and the beach, will that help me get through the rest of this winter? Asking for a friend. I’ve started saving some of my favorite beach styles for our honeymoon! I’ve already bought tons of swimsuits, but I want to find some cute clothes, too!

Never in a million years did I expect to be marrying a man like you. A man who is grounded, faithful, intelligent, caring, loving, and not to mention, handsome. Oh, the list is a mile long, and I’ll love you always, even though you have very stinky feet.

I can devour a good, motivational, entrepreneur or self-help book in one to two sittings. This year, I read (more like listened) to tons of them, and in 2019, I plan to do the same! I’ve been saving Instagram posts of book recommendations the last few months to create my reading list for the coming year. And, since I drive a lot, I’m always looking for audiobooks. My goal for 2019 is one book per month. I far surpassed that this year, but I want to be conscious of taking a break from the screen & actually picking up a book.

I’m usually a little “shy” when it comes to putting on a swimsuit. Self-conscious is not the right word because I love my body to pieces, and I work hard for it. Shy seems like a better word. That said, I’m breaking out of my comfort zone with my swim suits for our honeymoon. I ordered tons of bikinis from Zaful and I am impatiently waiting for a chance to wear them!

A woman can never have too many accent chairs! I used to have an actual chair problem (maybe I still do). Most of the ones we have in our house right now were thrifted, but I need a pair and that can be so hard to find. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Wayfair finds. They range in style and price.

I shared a lot about the stressful part of our Italy trip, but I never really got around to sharing the magical part! After six days of exhausting travel issues, we arrived on the Amalfi Coast and finally got the chance to indulge in the food, the wine, and the beautiful Tyrrhenian Sea. We spent three days on the coast. One day exploring Amalfi, one day in Positano, and one day in Ravello.

Welcome to our home! We have lived here for just over a year now and are slowly making this house into our own. When we purchased the place, it was dark, sad and dirty.
