I love sophisticated design, but a home should feel lived-in. Here are a few tips for making your home warm and cozy.
Your friend just bought their first home. They’re thrilled but exhausted, living out of boxes and eating take-out off the floor. Buying your first (or second or third!) home is incredibly exciting and deserves a celebratory gift. Of course, the classic bottle of wine or champagne is always appreciated. But why not try a gift that offers a more personalized touch?
Welcome to our home at Christmas! I like to break tradition and decorate for the holidays with black and white. I pride myself for curating holiday decor that is vintage & second! If you are looking for ways to decorate your home for the holidays on a budget, you are in the right place.
A woman can never have too many accent chairs! I used to have an actual chair problem (maybe I still do). Most of the ones we have in our house right now were thrifted, but I need a pair and that can be so hard to find. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Wayfair finds. They range in style and price.
Welcome to our home! We have lived here for just over a year now and are slowly making this house into our own. When we purchased the place, it was dark, sad and dirty. It has come a long way from when we first moved in. We put a fresh coat of white paint in almost every room and it has brightened up the house so much!
I’m finally ready to share some photos of our budget kitchen updates. Initially, I wanted to gut this thing, but I knew that was not financially smart for us. That said, I couldn’t live with our disgusting, outdated kitchen. A little, jk a lot, of paint, and some elbow grease have gone a long way on this kitchen. It might not be my dream kitchen, but it feels so much fresher than it did with what we were able to do on a $500 budget!
If you have been following along for a while on my Instagram account @thoughtfullythrifted you have probably read some of my vague posts about me having to sell my house and downsize to an apartment.
It's about the journey, not the destination (cheesy, but for real).
I’m a newlywed living in Indianapolis, Indiana with my hubby, baby girl Ryan and two pups, Porter and Piper. I wear a lot of hats, like blogger, wedding planner, wife and mama. I believe everyone has the power to create a home, life & business that they LOVE.
